Your Stories: Sound Familiar?

Since I began to publicize the opportunity to enter your stories into the TellOurLifeStories Collection to make a book for Christmas, there has been an enthusiastic response.

I first told about it in my newsletter to members and friends. You can subscribe to that up on the upper left panel on this blog.

I've heard from these members and friends about stories that they would like to include. You can submit your story and then reply to the newsletter that I send out to let me know you'd like your story to be a candidate. You'll also receive a subscription to the newsletter when you sign up for the free trial at TellOurLifeStories.com.

Here's what is so familiar and wonderful. I've heard from people who have a story about one of their relatives. One person's father wrote his own diary stories many years ago and she saved them and is going to put one in the Collection. Some of us do have family members who are writers or artists. When artistic pursuits run in your family, then chances are you have stories to tell about them.

Another person discovered poetry after retiring. Perhaps you, too, have uncovered a talent for writing that you never knew that you had. Two members, who each won a writing contest last year on TellOurLifeStories.com, admitted that they had never considered themselves writers. It was a pleasure to let them know that they won!

It may be familiar for you to think that because you've never done something, that it doesn't interest you, but then you might find that after you give it a try, it can be alot of fun and rewarding too.
